Dyad 37:20

about

Dyad is a thorough examination of the physical and aural boundaries of the double bass, shaped by the turbulences from a string-filtered feedback loop.

Recorded on a damp but clear winter's day in the archipelago outside of Stockholm. A piezo microphone was plugged into a computer running a custom software patch, returning the signal to be played back into a transducer mounted on the top of the double bass. The recording has since been cut in both ends and extended vertically, with varispeed echoes from additional microphones, chords and field-recorded bridges.
